![]() Moving around the various complexes of Jupiter’s moons feels like it’s in real-time along the lines of games like Diablo. Moving and fighting are extremely fast and smooth, with no pause in-between. This is especially true because it’s very easy to forget that Jupiter Hell is a turn-based game at all. It’s a small twist, but an important one you always need to watch out for. But slower actions can actually give your enemies a double turn, while faster ones can give you a double turn. You usually do something, then the enemies do something, and it looks like your standard turn-based system. Every action, from moving to reloading consumes some time.įor the most part, the difference isn’t perceivable. Jupiter Hell is completely turn-based but not quite in the normal sense of the concept. The controls are intuitive and easy to remember though I should note that the game can’t be played with a mouse. Jupiter Hell is incredibly simple to learn, and the short tutorial will have you ripping and tearing your way through hellspawn within minutes. But it has the soul of a fast-paced first-person shooter that makes the game feel very unique. Jupiter Hell is a true roguelike which means it’s turn-based. Yet Chaosforge somehow managed to combine two totally opposite concepts and it just works. We smelled what the Rock was cooking, and it smelled like butt. We have seen other failed attempts to take Doom and transform it into something else. It’s a questionable combination for sure. So, any insecurities that we had before we acquired these powers, we still have them. The way I see it is we’re superheroes, but we’re still very much human. How does he relate to people now that he’s a hero? Seeing things through the eyes of his daughter, who has a heart of gold and is able to forgive him … well, if Fitz can take what works and discard what doesn’t, she can do it 100 times better. It’s one thing for him to be hurt and not be able to perform the same way he did, but to see his daughter risking her life … well, that really makes you question the code you live by even more. Even with his physical injuries, what means the most to Fitz is that his daughter is out there now. It’s a different world than we came up with.
