![]() Oh and, you can use it as an audio interface to record into your DAW, too. But IÄd be surprised if it wasn’t up to scratch. ![]() Positive Grid are predictably enthused and there’s lots of talk about crystal-clear highs and deep bass. The sound quality of the amp will, of course, be a major factor in the success of this system. Using Positive Grid Spark 40 amp as an audio interface Mark Thomas 91 subscribers Subscribe 7.8K views 2 years ago I tried to record using the new Spark 40 as my audio interface. A pretty comprehensive offering, all in all. There’s a built-in tuner and a Tap tempo function. It can play audio from the analogue inputs or from a connected Bluetooth device. Ive plugged the USB into my laptop and have got Ableton running. Thanks 6 5 comments Best Add a Comment doom513 3 yr. Hey guys, Ive had my spark for a while and want to use it to record. ![]() It comes with a three-band EQ, a Gain control, a knob for selecting the kind of music or instrument, a Master volume pot as well as controls for Mod, Delay, Reverb and Output. Anyone tried using spark as an audio interface Have almost pulled the trigger on this amp a few times, but would like some feedback on it's performance as an audio interface seeing as I would be using the amp in that capacity most of the time. 5 522 Log in to reply Chuck Keyser I was hoping to use the Mini as an iOS interface to run BiasFx2 (and Amplitube, etc., etc.). It’s essentially a desktop combo guitar amp with 2 speakers and rated at 40W. 0 987 Can Spark work as an audio interface 3 899 1 What is an audio interface 0 601 About Spark Amp Lovers Spark Amp Lovers is a recognized and established Positive Grid Spark amp related internet community. That should keep you occupied for a while and adds another layer of useful goodies that makes this seem like a comprehensive solution. Using the Positive Grid SPARK amp as an AUDIO INTERFACE to record audio in REAPER. Positive Grid states it provides over 10,000 tones for you to play with. That gives you access to thousands of guitar amp and effects tones. Positive Grid is also leveraging the huge library of guitar tones created for its Bias amp range. That’s another advantage over Fender Songs, by the way. That’s great for when you’re busy trying to learn new songs and don’t want to move your hands away from your guitar. ![]() You can tell it to stream a rock song, say, and it will do that without you having to reach for your phone. I tried to change all available inputs and audio devices to no avail. If your interface is 'pro' grade, it can have Mic inputs and 'Hi-Z' (or Instrument) inputs too, so check if it's the case and make sure you plug into the line inputs. Music maker will not record using the USB input from the spark amp which is very disappointing. 3 Answers Sorted by: 10 If the output jack is labeled line out it means it can be plugged into any line-level input, as those found in audio interfaces, so you should be safe. I recently purchased the positive grid spark amp. I have many issues with the upgrade including continuing crushes. Presume that with the Spark Go, you can just include bass as one of the 4 loaded presets.Another cool feature (if it works) is that the Spark app responds to your voice commands. Hi, I purchased the upgrade from the 2015 version to 2021. The Prime P1 was more expensive as well, think I paid about $250 AUD via Amazon but it’s a crazy $379 AUD in retail stores.Īnother thing with the Prime P1 is to switch between guitar and bass, you have to load firmware - it doesn’t take that long, but slows you down and not sure if it would eventually screw up the device if you’re constantly switching firmware. Not sure how good the speaker will be for just bass, but given you can use it as a bluetooth speaker and I also play guitar. I already have the Mooer Prime P1 which does the headphone amp and audio interface part pretty well, but interested how much extra value might be able to get from the Spark App and I think this would be the cheapest way to utilise it. Combined with the features of the Spark Amp, I’m very tempted to pre-order one. Pre-order price is discounted $40 down to $109US ($179 in my local currency - AUD) which seems pretty good that can be used as a tiny practice amp, headphone amp or audio interface. I still would like the OUTPUT to be my studio monitors, but, Presonus doesnt seem to allow you that option. I see Positive Grid has gone smaller than the Spark Mini and now have the Spark Go due to start shipping in late May. There does not seem to be a way to select the Spark amp as an INPUT ONLY interface.
